It has been exactly 211 years since the battle of Quatre Bras!
I have been working on a 10mm Napoleonic project, and I am in the midst of raising units and building terrain based on the Battle of Quatre Bras. I am getting some figure painting help for this one (I paint too slow on my own, and I want to be able to actually play some games in the not too distant future).
As I build my terrain, I will post some photos of the process.
I am starting with a "small" (2' x 2') battlefield to make sure my techniques are sound. Using 10mm figures however, and playing on a 2' x 2' battlefield is like using a 6' x 6' table with 28mm figures. It is a respectable size.
I plan to try out a number of rules sets, but my first battle will likely be played using Muskets and Marshals by Ian Spencer.
I am trying to emulate Bruce Weigle's terrain building techniques (one of his beautiful boards is pictured below).
How he builds his terrain boards can bee seen by following this link to a great article that Bruce has written and which is posted on his website: Gameboards Link
